Privacy Policy

Version 1.0 · Effective May 9, 2026

Scope note: This Privacy Policy covers buyer-side data collection only. DCI Verify does not collect personal information about the contractors profiled in its reports.

1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy describes how YV Consulting LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company registered to do business in California (the “Company,” “we,” “us,” “our”), offering its products under the “DCI Verify” brand, collects, uses, and discloses information when you visit our website, purchase our products, or otherwise interact with us.

DCI Verify is a business-entity intelligence publisher. We produce research reports containing data about contractor businesses (company names, license numbers, OEM certification status, safety records, and general company contact information). Our reports do not contain personal information about individuals. All data in our reports describes contractor businesses, not the people who own or work for those businesses.

This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect from and about you (our website visitors, report buyers, and form submitters). It does not apply to the business-entity data published in our reports, which is not personal information.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Report Purchase (via Stripe): name, email, billing address, payment method (processed by Stripe). Used for order fulfillment, report delivery, watermarking, and buyer portal access.
  • Purchase Order Form: company legal name, PO number, billing contact name and email. Used for invoice generation and order fulfillment.
  • Already Purchased Re-Access: email address. Used to authenticate buyer identity and provide portal access.
  • Custom SOW Form (/custom-sow): name, email, company, facility location, project details. Used to evaluate project scope and respond with a proposal.
  • Contractor Inclusion Form (/contractors): company name, website, contact name, phone, email. Used to conduct an introductory verification call. Contact info is used solely for the call and is not published in reports.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website, we may automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and date/time of your visit. This information is collected through server logs and, if applicable, cookies or similar technologies.

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect personal information about the contractors profiled in our reports. Our reports contain business-entity data only (company names, license numbers, OEM certification status, OSHA establishment records, general company phone numbers, and general company addresses). No individual names, direct personal phone numbers, personal email addresses, Social Security numbers, or financial account information of contractor personnel appear in our reports.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Order fulfillment: processing your purchase, generating watermarked reports, delivering reports via email, and providing buyer portal access during your Access Window.
  • Communications: sending order confirmations, follow-up satisfaction inquiries, and responding to your inquiries.
  • Security and fraud prevention: watermarking reports with buyer identification, validating payment transactions, and preventing unauthorized access.

We do not sell or share your personal information. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. We do not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Service Providers

We share your information with the following categories of service providers who process data on our behalf:

  • Stripe, Inc.: payment processing. Receives name, email, billing address, payment method. Stripe processes card data directly; we never see full card numbers.
  • Resend: email delivery. Receives buyer email address and email content (order confirmations, delivery links, follow-up emails).
  • Cloudflare: website hosting, DNS, CDN, SSL. Receives IP address and request metadata (standard web hosting).

These service providers are contractually obligated to use your information only for the purposes of providing services to us and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

6. Your Privacy Rights

6.1 Rights for California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act:

  • Right to Know: you may request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
  • Right to Delete: you may request that we delete the personal information we have collected about you, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Right to Correct: you may request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

We do not sell or share personal information. Because we do not sell or share your personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA, there is no need to opt out of such activity.

7. Global Privacy Control (GPC)

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as a valid opt-out request in jurisdictions that require it, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, and other states with applicable privacy laws. Because we do not sell or share personal information, no further action is required on our part, but we recognize the signal as a matter of compliance.

8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We aim to minimize the use of cookies and tracking technologies. Our website does not use third-party advertising trackers or analytics platforms that engage in cross-context behavioral advertising.

If we use cookies for essential site functionality (e.g., session management, checkout process), we will provide a cookie consent banner with symmetrical “Accept All” and “Reject All” options of equal prominence.

9. Children's Privacy

Our products and services are designed for business professionals and are not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

Transactional emails (order confirmations, report delivery links, access window expiration notices, post-purchase satisfaction follow-ups) are not considered commercial messages and may be sent regardless of marketing preferences.

11. Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we collect. These measures include encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL), secure payment processing through Stripe (PCI DSS compliant), and access controls limiting who within our organization can view buyer data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on our website at dciverify.com/privacy with a revised “Effective Date” and, where required by law, provide additional notice.
